Cameron Jensen, Physical Therapy Technicians
Hometown: Brigham City, UT
Empower History: I was a technician at Empower in 2024 prior to starting PT school. I am back and looking forward to spending the summer of 2026 with the team before heading off for my last round of clinicals in the fall, and graduating next spring.
Background and Inspiration:
What is your background and experience in this industry?
My entrance into the PT world is similar to many others; I sustained a knee injury playing high school sports and went to rehab. That experience, coupled with my interest in sports and exercise, led me down the path to becoming a PT.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I love getting to know the patients and people in my community. The most rewarding thing is watching them recover and achieve their goals.
What brought you to Alaska/ back to Alaska after moving/ kept you here?
I moved up with my family in 2012 and attended Palmer High School. My family and love for the outdoors, particularly fishing, keep me here. I may not have been born here, but I’m betting I’ll die here.
Passions within PT
Forming a one-on-one connection with patients that can be seemingly lost in other healthcare professions. I like how PT challenges people to change and form lasting habits that can continue well after recovery. I love that a cornerstone to PT is using exercise as a tool to improve basically every aspect of life.
Family overview
I have been married to my wife, Emma, for around 6 years. We welcomed our first son last year.
What are your passions outside of work?
Fly fishing, Fly tying, Talking Fly fishing…and working out. My biggest passion is getting out and exploring the state with my family.
